Serae Neidigh, Camp Manager
Hello! I'm Serae Neidigh, and I'm Happy Hollow's Camp Manager. I began working at Happy Hollow in February 2024 and have loved spending time on our beautiful property, facilitating summer camp, and working with our wonderful team! A bit about me: I grew up in Indianapolis and attended several different summer camps, which were always a highlight of my year. I am a graduate of Purdue University, with degrees in Natural Resources & Environmental Science and Spanish.
I love traveling and learning about other cultures; I even spent a year living in Spain and teaching English to elementary schoolers. I have also worked as a camp counselor and a park naturalist, and I have a deep interest in Midwestern forests and animals. I enjoy seeing the turkeys, deer, bluebirds, frogs, and other creatures that call Happy Hollow home.
It has been very meaningful for me to see the personal growth of our campers and seasonal staff through summer camp. During the school year, I teach visiting groups about our local ecosystems and try to instill a love for nature and outdoor recreation in students. When I'm not at camp, I can usually be found at home in Indianapolis, likely reading a book, spending time with friends, or enjoying the outdoors. I hope to see you at camp!
