  • What age groups are welcome at Happy Hollow Children's Camp?

    Happy Hollow Camp welcomes children between the ages of 7 and 14 years old. Our Counselor -In-Training program is for 15-17 year old youth. Our programs are tailored to be age-appropriate and ensure a positive experience for all campers.

  • What types of activities are offered at camp?

    We offer a wide range of activities including canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, archery, hiking, arts and crafts, gaga ball, volleyball, basketball, zip line, high ropes challenge course, zap line, low-ropes challenge course, a nature center, and environmental education and STEM programs, ensuring every camper finds something they enjoy.

  • Are there accommodations for children with special needs?

    Yes, we are committed to inclusivity and offer programs adapted for children with various special needs. Please contact us directly to discuss how we can best accommodate your child. All of our buildings are ADA compliant with clear pathways for accessing all building on top of the hill.

  • How are staff members selected and trained?

    Our staff are carefully selected based on their experience, enthusiasm for working with children, and background checks. They receive comprehensive training in safety, child care, and activity leadership to ensure the best care for our campers.

  • What is the camper to staff ratio?

    Our camper-to-staff ratio is approximately 8:1, allowing for personalized attention and an enhanced camp experience.

  • What are the safety procedures at camp?

    Safety is our top priority. We have strict protocols in place including regular safety drills, a well-equipped medical station, and staff trained in first aid and emergency response.

  • How does the camp handle dietary restrictions?

    Our kitchen staff is experienced in handling various dietary needs. Please inform us about any allergies or dietary restrictions during registration so we can accommodate your child’s needs.

  • What should campers bring to camp?

    Campers should bring comfortable clothing, a swimsuit, sunscreen, a hat, and any personal items. A detailed packing list can be found in our parent handbook here

  • How do I register my child for camp and what are the payment options?

    Registration can be completed online through our website. We accept various forms of payment, including credit cards and payment plans. Financial aid options are also available to ensure every child has the opportunity to experience camp.
